The Sky Connect FLIGHTDECK telephone by Icarus Instruments enables
low cost telephone calls in the cockpit of any aircraft. Utilizing
the Iridium constellation of 66 satellites, Sky Connect FLIGHTDECK
provides both outgoing and incoming calls anywhere in the world
at any altitude, with no dead zones, handoff issues, or dropped
calls.
FLIGHTDECK — the only thing you see in the cockpit is a
small compact Dzus rail dialing pad. No wires, handsets, power
adapters, antennas, or other items to crowd your cockpit. The
Sky Connect FLIGHTDECK integrates directly with your existing
headset and supports one and two-pilot crews, operating in concert
with aircraft radios. When both pilots are using the phone at
once, one can also be monitoring ATC and can mute the call at
the push of a button.
An exclusive feature of FLIGHTDECK allows one pilot to isolate
a FLIGHTDECK call for complete privacy, without disrupting the
other pilot's continued monitoring of ATC and cabin intercoms.
