Inmarsat Regional BGAN Remote Antenna

The Regional BGAN Remote Antenna is intended to be used with the Inmarsat Regional BGAN User Terminal (UT), when operating with the Thuraya satellite.
The Regional BGAN Remote Antenna allows permanent or semi-permanent installation of the Regional BGAN equipment, allowing the UT to remain indoors while the antenna is located outdoors.
In addition to using the Regional BGAN Remote Antenna, which transmits and receives data to and from the satellite, it is advisable to use an external GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna (available separately), which attaches to the UT via a separate cable and connector. This will eliminate the need to periodically move the UT to an external location in order to obtain a GPS fix. The Regional BGAN Remote Antenna allows permanent or semi-permanent installation of the Regional BGAN equipment, allowing the UT to remain indoors while the antenna is located outdoors. In addition to using the Regional BGAN Remote Antenna, which transmits and re ceives data to and from the satellite, it is advisable to use an external GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna (available separately), which attaches to the UT via a separate cable and connector. Please Note that in addition to this antenna kit it is necessary to use one of either the:
• Regional BGAN Remote Antenna Ground Mount Kit; or the
• Regional BGAN Remote Antenna Wall Mount Kit which contain the necessary hardware for each
of these two installation options

Mounting Options
The antenna is intended to be mounted in one of three configurations:
1) Free standing on a horizontal surface;
2) Permanently fixed to a horizontal surface;
3) Permanently fixed to a vertical wall.
Configuration (1) and (2) require the Regional BGAN Remote Antenna Ground Mount Kit, and
configuration (3) requires the Regional BGAN Remote Antenna Wall Mount Kit.
